6th Year Wellbeing

Our 6th year group were very well behaved and performed really well during the mock exams. They probably found it tough, no doubt, since the majority of them did not sit a State Exam before.

So, it was decided by their Year head to do some nice, simple things that would give them some reward upon their return to class after the mocks.

The week started with a long, leisurely lunch for the 6th years, with teachers before and after lunch agreeing to give them an extra ten minutes either side to increase their break. In midweek they had a short coffee morning in the Hall, with lots of goodies, which they enjoyed, and coffee to keep them awake! To round it off on Friday, there was a non-uniform day for 6th years only. A big thanks to Ms Thompson for taking the time to organise it all, the students really appreciated it.

Well done to past pupil Cathal Doyle who has qualified for this year's World Athletics Championships in the 1,500m. Cathal ran a PB in the Diamond League in Rome (3.32.15), the second fastest time ever for an Irishman.

The 1st years were taken on a school trip to Emerald Park on a day when there was glorious sunshine as a reward for all their hard work during the year. The following is written by Darragh from 1st year after enjoying the trip so much.
